Previous Conflicts Between Duraahn and Jacinth
“Frostwall is staying neutral; they want no part in what they percieve to be our petty land dispute, even though this is clearly nothing like those wars of old.” – Cambridge
Duraahn and Jacinth have been the strongest powers in the northern regions of Sagos for centuries, and they have consequently always been vying to gain the advantage over the other. There is a small patch of territory on the north border of Lake Varna that is extraordinarily fertile, and it’s been a spot of contention between the two city-states since it was discovered. Whoever actually claimed it first has been lost to history, but there have been countless invasions and land-struggles in the attempt to take and hold the Varna Crescent. Duraahn has been in control of the Crescent since just before The Darkness, and it had appeared that Jacinth was willing to let them hold it until the current war broke out. There have been other, smaller conflicts over other causes too numerous to list, which is why the other city-states in the area are remaining neutral. They’ve seen it all before, and don’t really care how it turns out.
